Things To Consider Before Choosing LED Lightings

Most LED products come with similar features such as; variable speed strobe effect and macro effects, sound control, even field coverage, multiple built-in programs, smooth dimmer control/dimmer curve, low power consumption, 50,000 hours average life span, preset variable dimming pulse effect, 0 – 100% smooth linear dimmer, etc. For beginners in the world of lighting, it is pretty stressful shopping around for LEDs because you do not know what exactly to look out for in the different products. Often times, it is advisable you hire a commercial lighting company like MD LIGHTING who are professionals in LED lightings. But if you wish to do it yourself, here are some basic features to look out for in every LED product before buying one.

  1. Light Color

While it seems like all LEDs are same with amazing qualities, there are in fact, a few differences that makes each of them unique. As a beginner it is best you know the color of light you wish to buy. The color you choose will influence the atmosphere and look of the subject. Do you want a warm or cool beam? Or a variety of RGB color LED lights? For a warm beam, you should go for LEDs with low Kelvin ratings, say within the range of 2000 to 4000k depending on your desired taste. If you prefer cooler beams, then a higher Kelvin rating should do just finely, say within the range of 5000 to 7500K.

  1. Outdoor or Indoor?

Knowledge of where the lighting will be used is important in deciding if to go for a waterproof light or not. For indoor activities, the lighting does not necessarily need to be water resistant but for outdoor activities, the reverse is the case. Thanks to outdoor lighting manufacturers who have made most LED lights water resistant, it is best you get a water resistant bulb for your outdoor event. Also, for clubs and retail owners, it is best to go for special effect LED lights because they provide special features to meet your aesthetic needs.

  1. Light Output

What amount of lumens would you want your LED light to give? An ultra high light output?  The brightness of the light should always be considered. MD LIGHTING a top LED lighting manufacturer, recently added a number of high definition ultra quiet LED lights to their canopy of LED lightings. You can take a pick on MD LIGHTING comthey have got different LED lightings to meet all of your lighting needs.

Other noteworthy features includes; Color rendering index (80 to 100 should do it), Beam angle, Edge color distortion, Number of chips (multi-chip or single-chip) and Power option (is it only powered by batteries or can it be plugged in?).
